Tokyo pt. 2

The rest of my time in Tokyo was good. I have some interesting news regarding Japan but I'll wait until I get home to blog about it. My last day there I went to the fantastic Mori Art Museum which is on the 53rd floor of Roppungi tower, there was a fantastic collection on winner's of Britain's Turner Prize that included the infamous Mother and Child Divided by Damien Hirst.

Here are some final pics from Tokyo:

that's one hot looking bass there. Oh yeah---and the player, too!

Having seen the Mother and Child Divided, what did you think of it? It packs a wallop just from photographs...controversial, powerful.

It's a powerful piece when you see it. I like Damie Hirst and I think if you appreciate what he's going for then you'll probably like his work.

There was also a painting of his there that I enjoyed.

yeah---that piece made me feel exactly the way Fargo did---guilty for finding so much to appreciate in a rather disturbing presentation...

I need to get back to London and spend time at the Tate. I like it better than MoMA.

Can you believe all of the times I've been in London I've never been to the Tate?

actually; yes. You're working, you've got your friend to visit and then there's all that pub ambiance to soak up. But pretty soon you'll appear derelict if you don't go....
