Off I Go

Well folks, I'm off on my winter touring adventure that won't bring me back home until 2007.

First off we're headed to Boston for a gig over the weekend, then to London on Sunday. We're playing the week in London then headed to Hamburg, Germany to do a television show. Then it's back to London for another TV show then over to Berlin for another gig. After all of that we head to NYC for our long run at the Carlyle.

It's really tough leaving Carrie and Murphy and Little Porkchop (that's the working title for my son's name). I'll be coming back to LA for two one-night visits in December, but it's still tough.

Wish me luck, I'll be "talking" to you from the road.

Porkchop---nice. Anna is Meatball. You can tell we're family, can't you?
Love you baby. Enjoy what you can. Its a blessing to make your living doing something you love; its just hard when it takes you from your life. I'm sure you're working on firming up a hiatus when Little Porkchop arrives.

Lyman, keep safe on the road, and remember when in London to give me a call - I'm sure I can make dinner for you again!

For the record, the hormonal woman who is actually carrying this baby in utero hates the name porkchop. Why? Do I have to answer that? I'm pregnant. I guess I hate it like Lyman hates peas, my mom hates artichokes and my sister hates Battlestar Gallactica. Now you're all calling him porkchop- oh no! Not around me, ok?

    touchy, touchy, touchy ...

... porkchop cannot stand such negativity

You're right. Happy Momma, happy baby. He doesn't care what we call him.
I wonder where my aversion to nicknames stems? Remember Truly Scrumptious? I poo pooed that one, and it was sweet. I try to lighten up. I'll try.

Gosh, guys; thanks for letting us all see your highly developed conflict resolution skills first hand! I feel so good now!

Rob doesn't like being called Honey Bunny, either. We just think of it as his issue.

It could definitely be worse. Sometimes Haley is "Boogernut". That's bad.

    Hello, there:

Our boys gave me a bit of a scare yesterday..pulled it out, but not sure what we'll do when we find a team with good defense..we'll be toast.

Travel safely, sweetie. It's tough to leave Carrie, Murphy & LP, but that's your life, hon. And it's a wonderful life...almost all I could have wished for you. Wonderful wife, healthy child on the way and a good gig where you can put your bass face on almost EVERY nite!

Sending LP his new Colts jersey this week.

    All my life,
    SueAnne

Well SueAnne, the Broncos had the best defense in the league and Peyton used and abused them like a drunk sorority girl (sorry about the non-PC joke, I really like that one though). While I agree that the Colts D is disheartening it will get better with a healthy Bob Sanders and Monte Reagor.
