Lym-o: Love the list. I have about four of these, four I've never heard and one to offer for your consideration: you don't seem to have heard John Mayer Trio's Live cd released in June. Fab---better than Continuum, IMO.

did the Amazon.com fairy leave a package on your doorstep? Just wondering 'cuz I have reason to believe a parcel I sent your way may have been misdirected...please advise...

    Smooches!

I love Try! but it actually came out in November of '05. It is a great record.

I haven't recieved any packages from Amazon here in NYC, did you ship it to LA?

I'm having cyberproblems; hope this doesn't duplicate:
I sent the goods to your Encino address---time to clean up my Amazon address book. The UPS folks held it up for a day recognizing the problem but then its recorded as delivered somewhere in Encino on the 20th of Dec. I'll work it out with Amazon. Gifts on the way...

You know what I'd love to know is who is going to be playing with you at the Catalina Club, any surprising guests you think might show their faces, how rehearsing is going to proceed, etc. I'd sure as hell be there if I could.

    Love you

well let me know if the gift is at the Encino post office, it's not that far away for me to grab

The band at Catalina will be the fantastic Steve Cotter on guitar; Quinn Johnson on keys; Jessica Vautor on vocals; and Jeff Moehle (all the way from Kalamazoo, thank goodness for frequent flier miles) on drums. Jeff gets in next Sunday, we rehearse on Mon, possibly record a little on Tues, and then the gig.

Sorry to use your comments for chatting---seems to work well enough...

Are you planning to build up any excitement about the date on your website? Any coverage about the lineup (fabulous, by the way; you'll be great!)?

    I'm just a curious cousin...

    Hey Man,

That's a killer list. I totally agree on many counts. Sounds like your ears are really open to a lot. I promote a bunch of artists to bloggers. Lemme know if I can send you some stuff.

How do you feel about Puerto Rican parranda music? I recently bought a CD that features two heavily popular songs.

I'll have to send you the instrumental medley. It reminds me of my childhood in Spanish Harlem.
