    Glad to hear you're feeling better; what's the word on American Gangster?

    At a trailer-glance it seems they just got two guys to play two character-types they're known for playing, and put them on a collision course. Sound anywhere near right?

    Your shitty apt. reminds me of our room at the Carter Hotel, around the corner from Birdland. I made the mistake of booking a room there for my wife and me a few years ago because it was within walking distance of the club.
    Theresa and I are really looking forward to enjoying you and the band at the Carlyle at the 10:45 show tomorrow, Friday.

    American Gangster is good. Not groundbreaking but the setting is interesting (drug dealers trafficking drugs from Vietnam during the war) and if you're a fan of Ridley Scott you'll dig it.

    Jeff's description is right-on.
