Al Gore Wins Nobel Peace Prize

Al Gore has won the Nobel Prize his efforts to raise awareness about global warming.

It really makes you think about how much different the state of our country's global relations and economic situation would be if he had won the election he received the most votes for back in '00. Luckily this might be used as a springboard to run again.

I wish! It's really awesome that he was recognized in this way. I think I'd take the Nobel Prize over the Presidency any day.

Mr. Gore has already issued a statement saying he won't run for (re-)election based on this recognition. He has been so comitted to this issue for so many years. Thank goodness the Nobel committee focussed the attention of the world in such a powerful way.

I loved his saying the issue is not political; it is moral. I hope people will take it to heart. Just back from BC, its very clear Americans just don't embrace the green attitude in a very comitted way. I was impressed by what I saw in action in Canada...

yeah, he said he won't run again. probably still bitter about the last time he ran. i'd be too, cuz that sucked.

meanwhile, i'm not sure how i feel about the nobel peace prize. i mean, bush gets nominated every year and he has no concept of what peace is.

i did my little bit for the environment by purchasing a five-speed vehicle. it has to start somewhere, right?
