   Yes, Lyman, there is no place like home. Our feelings exactly when we returned to Michigan from London last Sunday, even though we were away from home for only two and a half days compared to the month that you were away from your family.
   Brief as our stay was, we will never forget the exciting time we had at Ronnie Scott's Friday evening and Saturday evening, sharing the great joy and enthusiasm with which you guys celebrate the Standards!
   Theresa was quite excited when I suggested that we try to get in for the Saturday performance, even though we had made no advanced reservation. We had to stand in the back, but it was still another non-stop rousing experience.
   No wonder people are willing to fly trans-Atlantic for the sole purpose of being thrilled by such a fabulous group of musicians!
   We hope to see you and Steve at your 10:45 performance at The Cafe Carlyle on December 28. Yes, we are making plans to take in a second show again!
