The Colts have exorcised the demons. They FINALLY beat the New England Patriots after years of losing to them in hearbreaking fashion. What a game. I made dinner for a couple of the boys in the band and sucked back some beers while enjoying the victory. A good night for sure.
Yesterday was fun. I got to see some good music during the day and had dinner with a friend of mine in Brooklyn that night. It's been a good "weekend" for me. Back to the grind tomorrow.

Did anybody hear why the Colts decided to try and go for the 2-point conversion when it was 40 - 21? Without knowing the reason, I can understand the boos from the Patriot fans. At one point towards the end, Peyton was talking to someone and pointing to his back and the announcer said that Peyton was pointing at the place where the monkey used to be. Classic!

With seven minutes left in the game the score was 40-21, if the Colts went for one then there would be a 20 pt. lead. Three touchdowns would give the Pats 42 making the score 42-41.
Thats three possessions, easily within the realm of possibility with 7 minutes left. I think they did it out of respect for the Pats Offense. It made sense. Any combination of FG and TD that wouldve given the Pats the lead would've taken longer than 3 possessions and there wasn't enough time for them to do that.
